Abuse Survivors Support Group
All survivors are welcome - we have groups specifically for just men or women to relate their unique experiences and we have other groups where it works well for men and women to join together. Whether you are still in the relationship, or you have moved beyond that time in your life, this is a caring group eager to listen to and support one another. You are invited to join us as we share our experiences of surviving and coping with past or current abuse.
Our group is an open forum where you are welcome to chat about what is happening in your life, or just sit back and listen to what others are saying and possibly relate to something you hear.
Conflict Solutions & Anger Management
Often in our society, conflict is viewed as negative — a negative word and a negative situation that should be avoided. We flip the script and place an emphasis on learning how to use conflict as an opportunity for growth and understanding. The techniques we teach help participants cool down, manage stress and learn how conflict can be a force for positive change. We are an anger and conflict management group that places an emphasis on building relationships even through the presence of conflict.
Addressing conflict and anger effectively is an opportunity to become equipped with new skills to communicate effectively to solve problems and build relationships. Our mix of understanding anger and emotions with conflict management skills helps participants work through defensiveness and build a shared understanding with others, ultimately finding mutually satisfactory solutions to sources of conflict.
Psychological Assessment
Assessments are completed with the client and administered by an independently licensed clinician. All of the test include “Truthfulness Scales” to assist in the reliability and validity of the exam.
Substance Abuse Recovery
Support groups for addiction allow people to share their personal experiences. There are groups that can benefit anyone with any type of addiction. Support groups are also helpful for addicted people with co-occurring mental conditions like depression. “Support groups can provide emotional guidance and support for addicted people when cravings strike.”
